GREENART has been featured in the latest CORDIS Results Pack titled “How EU–U.S. research collaboration is delivering far-reaching benefits” which showcases 13 EU-funded projects that exemplify the strength of transatlantic scientific cooperation.
The article highlights how joint research between the European Union and the United States is driving innovation across fields such as healthcare, quantum technologies, environmental monitoring, and cultural heritage conservation.
GREENART stands out for its pioneering approach to art restoration, combining European advances in green materials and heritage science with U.S. expertise in analytical techniques and conservation practice. This synergy has enabled the development of safer, bio-based cleaning systems, functional coatings, and smart monitoring tools, tested and validated in leading institutions on both sides of the Atlantic.
As part of Horizon Europe, GREENART exemplifies the values of openness, transparency, and scientific integrity that underpin EU–U.S. collaboration. The project’s inclusion in this Results Pack confirms its relevance not only to the heritage sector, but also to broader conversations about sustainability, innovation, and global cooperation.
