15 December 2024 | Belo Horizonte (Brazil)

GREENART project was presented last December 14 and 15, 2024, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, during the two-day training organized by Marcia Almada in the Escola de Belas Artes UFMG (LaGrafi/Cecor) on the use of innovative materials and methods in the conservation of cellulose-based cultural heritage. A two-day training with enthusiastic, attentive and passionate participants: a real pleasure.

Training content: theoretical contributions on gels, poultices, microemulsions and nanocellulose, but also practical activities on the application of the new materials to selected mock-ups and expendable case studies. With, among others, discussions around sometimes complex objects as well as the difficulty of obtaining these new materials and integrating them into conservation treatments in a country with a tropical climate.
